What Strand is
Strand is a nutrition-tracking tool for people losing weight, including people on GLP-1 medications. It estimates a daily shed range from a photo of collected hairs, estimates protein and hair-related nutrients from meal photos, tracks water, supplements, lab numbers you enter and treatments you log, and keeps a private photo diary.
What Strand is not
Strand is not medical advice and not a medical device. It does not diagnose, prevent, treat or cure hair loss or any condition. The Hair Risk Score is an estimate built from your answers, not a diagnosis. Meal estimates from photos are approximate. Talk to your doctor or a dermatologist about hair loss, supplements, blood tests and your medication, and never change a medication because of anything in this app.
Product suggestions
Strand may suggest products, some through affiliate links that earn us a commission. Suggestions are general information, not medical advice; check with your doctor before starting supplements, especially iron.
Subscription
The plan is a subscription billed through Stripe, monthly or yearly, after a free trial. Cancel any time from the "Manage or cancel" button in the app; you keep access to the end of the period you paid for. Refunds: if something's wrong, email us and we'll make it right.
Your content
Your photos and logs are yours. We store them to run the service for you and we don't sell them. You can delete photos in the app and ask us to delete your account.
